Inbox2

Inbox2 is an application that collects all your mail (messages and content) and micro blogging updates from friends and contacts into a single activity stream. The activity stream can be sorted by contacts or the configured accounts – called ‘channels’. Your mail activity stream is always in sync. With all the content in one place, Inbox2 allows the use of smart labels and stars for messages and attachments. You can also import your existing labels from other services such as Gmail. Even better, in Inbox2 you can use labels for all your accounts and not just Gmail. Facebook users can now receive all their email and Twitter status updates from friends and contacts without having to leave their favourite platform. This stream is not part of the status update from friends but is tightly integrated with Facebook. The ability to send the same message to all your different contacts helps greatly. Type out a message and attach the files you want, like you normally would in an email, and simply add contacts from any of your email addresses or social networks. Awesome! Inbox2 is currently in beta, so it should only improve over time.
